Have fun on our cross-country ski tracks and enjoy life in snowshoes
When the weather is good in winter, about 1,200 kilometers of cross-country ski trails are prepared in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. Either around Hinterzarten or on the legendary „Thurnerspur“ (Thurner trail), at the Rinken mountain or on the long-distance skiing trail Schonach – Belchen: You decide where you want to ski. You can also trudge over the sunny plateaus around Hinterzarten or through the deep snow at the Herzogenhorn in snowshoes. You can even walk on one of the snowshoe trails on the Feldberg ... A typical winter in Hinterzarten!

A Christmas market can be so beautiful!
La Magie de Noël – the five Christmas markets in the enchanting city of Colmar are typically Alsatian and absolutely magical. The Christmas market at the wild and romantic “Ravennaschlucht” (Ravenna Gorge) between Hinterzarten and Freiburg should not be missed. In the small town of Gengenbach with its beautiful timbered houses, a window with a motif by Andy Warhol is opened every day on the “world’s biggest Advent calendar house“. In Freiburg, the perfumes of the sausages, hot spiced wine, chestnuts, and gingrbread are wafting through the Old Town. All these Christmas markets allow you to indulge in childhood memories!

In our residences, the winter forest is waiting for you right next door. After having walked only a few inches, you are already in the middle of a quiet winter scenery. No matter if the snow is falling or the sun is shining, - around Hinterzarten, you find numerous cleared or prepared hiking trails which allow you to discover the Upper Black Forest. With the KONUS guest card, you can come back by bus or by train comfortably and for free from the destination of your hike.
