If you want to experience the primal nature of the Black Forest, and if you want to know how nature has determined the life of the inhabitants of the Black Forest for many centuries, we recommend you to hike on the “Heimatpfad” (Home Trail) through the legendary “Ravennaschlucht” (Ravenna Gorge).

Mountain biking around Hinterzarten

Although the two-metre-rule applies in Baden-Württemberg, steep rises, narrow trails, and natural routes are waiting for you around the Ferien Residenz Bergfried. The “Gipfeltrail Hochschwarzwald“ (Upper Black Forest summit trail) with a length of 100 kilometres offers you magnificent views of the Black Forest mountains. The golf club Hochschwarzwald is located between Hinterzarten and Titisee, at 900 metres above sea level. In the relatively flat landscape of the Hochtal, you play relaxing rounds while looking at the wonderful timbered mountains and old farmhouses of the Black Forest. But that’s not enough: In the Black Forest and in Alsatia, you may play on over 40 golf courses.
